The Erebus Ascent GMT Aqua — A Sneak Peek Before Launch
Looks like Erebus quietly posted the new Ascent 40 GMT Aqua ahead of its October 11 release. It’s hard not to miss that dial, bright turquoise with polished indices and a sharp pink GMT hand. It’s eye-catching, no doubt.
Powered by the Miyota 9075 traveler GMT, it gives true GMT function with independent hour hand adjustment. On paper, that’s a solid move.
Still, as much as I like the specs and finishing, this version feels less GADA. The earlier Ascent carried an understated versatility that worked from casual to formal. This one leans more lifestyle, less everyday companion.
It’s a bold look, but maybe not the one I’d grab when I want a single watch for the week.
What do you think, evolution or detour?
