And then there was this guy on the plane…

I was traveling today and struck up a conversation with the guy next to me on the plane after I glanced at his phone and noticed he was watching YouTube videos about watches. We spent the flight talking time pieces.

I was a bit awe-struck with watch-envy and a bit embarrassed with my own time piece after what I saw was on his wrist. When I travel I very often wear my budget Seiko Japanese import — it’s my go-to daily wear for me if I’m not setting an intention to wear something else from my collection. When I do travel with a luxury timepiece it is always packed in my personal item in a watch case (1) I don’t want to flash it, (2) I don’t want to booger it up with surface scratches as I’m rushing from here to there…

Yet, here this guy was, casually sporting his chocolate and diamond datejust. He was nice enough to let me handle it; I was nice enough to return it 😁 ..and I wiped away the drool before handing it back to him. It was a real looker, so I wanted to share with the community.
