Gratitude Is More Powerful Than We Think
Gratitude and appreciation are often seen as soft skills.
But research has shown they have measurable effects on our mental clarity, resilience, and wellbeing.
When we sincerely feel grateful for people, experiences, or even everyday comforts, our heart rhythms become more balanced and synchronised. This improves emotional regulation and helps us make better decisions, especially during stressful times.
Scientists have also studied what’s known as the “Helper’s High”. When we do something meaningful for others, it creates a positive emotional uplift that benefits both the giver and the receiver.
In today’s high-pressure environment, simple practices like daily gratitude can make a significant difference.
If you’d like to build this into your daily routine, we practise gratitude together every day on the Skool platform inside The Change Makers.
What are you grateful for today?
