End of Week Capacity is Information
By the end of the week, many people notice a drop in emotional capacity.
This is often the result of cumulative demands — responsibilities, decision-making, stress, and ongoing mental load.
It’s easy to interpret that decrease as a lack of productivity or follow-through.
A more useful frame is to view it as information.
Capacity reflects how much has been required of a system over time. When it’s low, it may be signaling a need for recovery rather than increased output.
Responding to that signal appropriately can support more sustainable functioning across weeks, not just within them.
