Interest vs. Choice in Marriage – Why I Choose Interest
When it comes to marriage, many people talk about choice choosing who to be with based on conditions, appearances, or expectations. But for me, interest is far more powerful.
Here’s the difference:
Choice is often based on logic, convenience, or pressure. It can fade when things get hard or when flaws start to show.
But interest is deeper. It’s the natural attraction, connection, and desire to understand and grow with someone no matter what.
When two people come together out of genuine interest, challenges won’t easily tear them apart. They’re not focused on each other’s mistakes. They see beyond flaws and instead look at how to build something strong together. Love flows naturally, support becomes mutual, and even their sources of income and purpose begin to grow together.
That’s why I believe interest is the foundation of lasting marriage not just choosing someone, but truly wanting them and what they bring into your life.
