I'm just checking in with everyone. How are you all doing with the blueprint of marriage workbook? I like to share with you how the Checkin really does help and the tools in this book. I can share without going into full details that my wife & I had a very strange week last week and she was sick. With that said I take the blame for going off track from the tools that are given in this book. How did I go off track? Well instead of following what we have learn through Pastor Joe & Krissey on how we should handle disagreement, I responded in my own way & not God's way that I've learn through this course. So my wife & I fought all weekend, cause I was trying to get her to see my way or for her to just let it go. The blessing we were both able to discuss what happened. How can we avoid this from happening again? And to recognize were not fighting against flesh and blood. It's true spiritual warfare, where Satan is trying to destroy every Christian marriage. We know it is critical to follow the tools that have been given to us and to give all our disagreements to Jesus. We may not agree, but let Jesus come into the midst of it. See how he will answer our disagreement. Again this is our experience. As I've said in a previous post we can rank high one week of where our marriage is & it's that simple to go off track to where the ranking can fall back. I hope this post can help someone in the group not to ever get discouraged when life is difficult in your marriage. God loves us all.. Bart and Lorena Carrillo

My wife and I just completed the section where you have to list all your positive & negative experiences. I took time to make both lists. After you go through the list you need to answer some difficult questions in the book. It can be painful when you go through a negative list together. But the positive side of that is we learn more about each other that we haven't ever shared. To me, it helps me understand my wife better throughout communication or conflicts. As hard as it was it was a good thing to open up about everything & to surrender it to God. If not then I feel it will hurt our marriage if you're hiding your past from your spouse. How will I get complete healing? I started with my negative experiences with being born into a non-Christian home that was chaotic. We also did our checklist.
