Looks Good But is it Built Strong?
Some marriages look good on the outside but are falling apart underneath. We’ve learned that a strong marriage doesn’t just happen. It takes intention, sacrifice, honesty, and daily investment. You can make things look fine for a while, but if there’s no real foundation, eventually the cracks will show. A thriving marriage isn’t built on appearances. It’s built behind closed doors — in the hard conversations, the small choices, the forgiveness, and the decision to keep choosing each other again and again. Don’t just build a marriage that looks good. Build one that’s actually strong. Question: What do you think makes a marriage strong beneath the surface?

God, a threefold cord is not quickly broken; intertwining the Lord's truths, commandments, and promises into marriage.

@Cheryl McLeod awe, that sounds like such a perfect date getaway; time to just focus on each other! 🥰
?Words we choose can affect our tone & life direction?
It's called the "Rudder" Effect. Like a small rudder controlling a large ship. The tongue controls the direction of a person's life... interesting. Saw this today, then looked for scriptures and found these. Proverbs 15:1 Soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. Proverbs 15:4 says, A wholesome tongue is a tree of life, but perverseness in it breaks the spirit. Proverbs 16:24 Gracious words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones. Your thoughts, have you ever heard of the Rudder Effect?

This really makes me think and how I communicate to everyone not just my spouse.
🚨New Onboarding (Important!) 🚨
Hey friends! We’re making some updates in this community, and as part of that we’ve created a short Onboarding module to get everyone up to speed. You are the heartbeat of this community, and we’d love to hear more from you while helping you connect with like-minded people. We don’t want to be the only ones posting here, so we truly appreciate everyone who is already active—commenting, liking, and sharing posts. The Onboarding will only take a few minutes, but it will walk you through the values and vibe of this community, so you can get the most out of being part of it ❤️ P.S. There’s a little free gift waiting for you at the end of the Onboarding 😉 Onboarding: https://www.skool.com/the-married-life-8800/classroom/bc7bcd83?md=4fd6239b51624ff6be01692cb83b0a7e

@Karla Berger I feel the same Karla! IF you had to give one wisdom packed take away what would that be? For me its been small steps together in the same direction.
What is 1 thing you want to see in your marriage?

@Natalie M Hi Natalie, Your post is relatable, thanks for sharing 😊 If you could change one thing to bring warmth & fun back, what would it look like? This has made me think of my own marriage. I can implement a small, engaging change to our evening routine and smile more - I can control me. I just googled the benefits of smiling more... it's a thing!

@Bryan Fitting nightly check in's to express, declutter, and pray with our spouse sounds relaxing and a great way to end the day. How has it been going?
