Guilt says: I did something bad.
Shame says: I am bad.
And while guilt can sometimes be a useful compass — nudging us back towards our values — shame serves no one. Shame doesn't heal us. It doesn't make us better. It just keeps us small and stuck and silent.
You've been carrying guilt and shame for things that weren't your fault. For things you did when you were simply surviving. For being human in a world that never taught you how to hold yourself with compassion.
Today, we start putting some of that weight down.
🎧 Today's meditation:
After listening, write a forgiveness letter — to yourself. Let it be messy. Let it be raw. Let it be real. You deserve your own compassion.
