Greetings!
As requested, a little bit about myself and a favorite song of some sorts.
I live far East Side (Snoqualmie) but try to get into Seattle for live concerts as often as I can. I think all the years of playing daily in school bands mean that I I truly need the energy of being in the same room with live music. My friends are impressed by the number of concerts that I attend (1-2 a week generally), but I truly cannot keep up with Howie. :-) Would love to meet some new concert buddies.
If you saw me say "Snoqualmie" or looked at my profile photo and thought "Twin Peaks" - well, yes. I'll happily talk about the show at length. I've been a champion of Twin Peaks Day (Feb 24) for a while now and since 2018 I have written the official proclamations for places such as Snoqualmie, North Bend, Carnation, and King County.
I have a lot of favorite songs. The one that keeps repeating in my head these last two weeks is "Where The I Divides" from Information Society's third album. It's more straight-forward pop with very few samples, but does (of course) include a Star Trek sound effect in the Middle Eight. Their third album, and last for a major label, is generally more restrained and less experimental than their second album. The song is about making decisions and moving on. And it's also very apropos for my work situation at the moment. But also it's just a lovely pop song that's on repeat in my head.
