If you could only listen to music that was local to your city/region, where would you live?
Having grown up in Seattle, it would be tough to not go in that direction, but I could also be happy eating bbq in Austin just listening to Spoon and The Black Angels.
Interpol
Coming to North America this summer, Interpol. Will it feel like the summer of 2005? Nope. Do I feel like I did in the summer of 2005? Also nope. BUT, they will be in the PNW in early August !!! Bandcamp Friday
I haven't headspace for much of the digital world, but I thought it was worthwhile to acknowledge tomorrow will be the next Bandcamp Friday. If anyone has any bands or specific releases you're excited to check out, please share them! It looks like there is still time to pre-order a vinyl copy of Dark Chisme's self-titled LP in its fourth pressing. For the punk fans as well as those who might be looking for some of the fuzz associated with the 90s, I'd recommend the latest LP from my friends in Filth is Eternal called Impossible World that was released last month.
Is it crazy to want to go to Florence + the Machine
I’m not an obsessed fan of Florence + the Machine. I know some people are. However, I’ve heard repeatedly, from many people that the live experience is like a religious experience, and I could use that now in my life. Of course, I’m late and it’s all resale tickets… so how much is it worth to gamble on this religious experience?
5x5s
Last Week (with TV Star in the top left) and April (Remember Sports in the top left) 5x5s. Scott Miller/Game Theory always makes a strong showing in April with his birthday and the anniversary of his death. Lots of local Seattle. Lots of Jeff Rosenstock.
