Friday 5x5
Haven't posted one in a bit so here ya go. An especially eclectic mix of streams last week, spanning about 5 decades and hopefully thoroughly confusing Apples Al-Gore-Rhythm

I love this Belly song from the old Jon Stewart show from the 90s: https://youtu.be/EYUfkh-AvL0?is=MZkzU0UsEKfllV2b What are other TV appearances that you like?

Opening Track
It's been a hot minute. But here's the scenario: You're on call - and the call has come in. You need to fill in for your favorite morning show DJ. They're off on an adventure. Or something. Doesn't matter. What's important is that you've got scant few minutes to pick the intro song to your whole set. No judgement, no wrong answers, and obviously you will choose different tracks at different moments, but this is about right now - What's your first track? I'll go first. Right now, my intro track is Valdimar playing Yfirgefinn on a KEXP live set from Iceland. A little Cure mixed with a little Oingo Boingo. kinda. If you know you know. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s98OFm_USBM

I couldn't resist the urge to share an underappreciated band/track. I'd reach back to 1985 and play 24 off of Game Theory's Real Nightime debut lp, including the introductory 15 second sound clip sampling of "Here Comes Everybody" that would continue to lead off all of the Game Theory albums. (the only way to share the two combined traks together is the playlist--->) https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLv2xItieQO4SUHK10cxayBszhlx22Ev9x&si=kO86xzOm7byWu_kj

@Marco Mazzoni also, how great is Baba Yaga? I love that place. Especially now that I can light-rail there from the east side.

That "pit dad" up front at the show. 40+ years of live PNW music and still going strong. I want to tell you about this band I saw...
