The Strength You Forgot
Hello from Lewes, East Sussex
Good morning. Today is sunny here in Lewes - I started the day (late, sleepy!) after a long gym/swim sesh yesterday...with some yoga by the fire then I foraged for nettle, cleavers and dandelion leaves and made a juice with a base of celery and lemon. I'm feeling good and relaxed! I joined this group because I'm keen to be part of a community of people who love fitness, and to dive into nutrition - especially because I've been eating just twice a day lately. I have Gilbert's Syndrome(basically high bilirubin in the liver) for which fasting, alcohol and caffeine are a big no no. I've inherited my love of movement from my dad who is now almost 80 and flies to Spain in a few months to play football with his walking team. He's fit as a flea. I love gymnastics and I have seen guys and women over 60 and 70 doing somersaults and enjoying their body. I've also seen ill overweight people with chronic pain - a horror life to live. I'm blessed to be living able bodied and want to keep it that way so I remain as free as possible. Being alive, having freedom of movement is a real gift. Glad to be here ! Thanks for the invite JT 🙌
Find Your Flow
The truth is, most people don't fail because they're lazy, they fail because the vision they're chasing isn't theirs. What if you stopped chasing someone else's dream lifestyle and started crafting your own? What foods do you enjoy? What form of exercise makes you feel alive? What things do you feel a natural resistance towards and what feels like it flows? Hope you’re all having a good week.

20K+ steps
Today was the first day in literal years that I walked more than 20K steps. Very happy to have worked slowly up to this benchmark.
