I made a movie this weekend with a small team of people via the 48 Hour Film Project - which is a global, annual short film making competition that. Friday morning I saw something that reminded me that it was starting and texted/DMs probably 20 ppl locally to see who might know someone involved. The suggestion was show up - I showed up, ran into my buddy John who knows my skills and brought me into his team. Each team gets a unique genre, plus a character, prop, and line of dialogue that must be included in your film. I handled the sound editing, mixing, sound design (fx) and score remotely while they shot and edited it. We wound up with a post apocalyptic inspirational film about two characters from opposite worlds who are told not to trust each other called Innkeeper. We delivered the Final Cut with minutes to spare last night at 7:30. The festival/ premiere is in 2 weeks and I'll share a YouTube link right after that! In the meantime, I can share some of the process and any questions about this aspect of my work that is directly connected to sync licensing.
