Still here
Hi friends. I will miss you again today as I’m not feeling well and neck deep in packing. I officially closed my business in NYC to clean up all tax wise and will see how I want to move forward once I get to Jupiter, FL. 6-10 weeks from now! Still working on getting quotes from movers and bloody hell they are asking a lot! Just keep thinking palm trees, palm trees and water that is actually teal:) Plan to make next Wed meeting. I did find mental space to write a quick post on LinkedIn this AM. I hope everyone is doing well!
Prepping for Florida
Sorry for my absence. Overwhelmed with Florida prep. Slowing getting there but may be 2 more weeks to get back into work mode. Til then I’ll leave you with this one…
Prepping for Florida
Just keep going
I have this week off of work. It's a full week with lots to do as usual but also time to work on the Wheeliehogs. So, yesterday I got myself ready to record 6 stories whilst sat in the sunshine. They were sunshine appropriate stories so yesterday was perfect. It took me nearly 3 hours to find the microphone. My house looked as though a poltergeist had visited. I pulled out furniture, looked through draws and cupboards, but no luck. Strategy: sit with a coffee, relax and see if I remembered where it was, and I did...phew! I could still fit a couple of stories in before attending a late afternoon appointment. Great. Got them recorded. Reviewed the stories that evening and realised I hadn't turned the microphone on. No sound. I'd read them straight through with no slip ups as well. Grrrrrr! Yesterday felt like a waste. I'd wasted time. I couldn't attend HQ training and achieved very little. Looking back. I got to sit in the sunshine and read the stories through. I learnt to double check the microphone before recording. I cleared out some draws and cupboards. Today is also sunny, so I get to sit in the sun this morning and do it all again before heading off to more appointments this afternoon. I can catch up with the training. And, tomorrow is also sunny. Wriggle Room. Spot on!
Family highs and lows
The last couple of days have been a real family emotional rollercoaster. Saturday was the first anniversary of losing my dad. We met up with my mum and brother, and had lunch out together, which was lovely. I still miss him. Today is a high with my youngest turning 18! It's landed well with it being during her school half term. We went a lovely family walk together. Glad we went in the morning when the sun was shining. My family means so much to me. I hope you don't mind me sharing.

Can you spare a virtual hug
In need of a lift today, from this lovely community whilst I navigate some family challenge. No matter how much Zen wisdom some days just suck and today is one of them! ‘Let go or be dragged’ is a Zen proverb. And so whilst I feel the pain, I remain anchor in the present moment, knowing that emotions are just like the clouds, they come and go and never stay the same. Thank you folks
