The hardest part of my awakening journey was not to reach a specific state, it was dealing with the dark night of the soul that followed right after. After the initial "high" of spiritual experiences, something painful happens: everything that once gave us hope, meaning, and value starts to fade away. It’s not just the 'negative' illusions that dissolve, but also the things we held unto. You find yourself lost in total meaninglessness. The things hat used to be important suddenly feel empty.
