Science v Spirituality

Hey guys. I’m new here, and to spirituality practice in general, and trying to understand myself and who I really am. Why I’m here.

What Rey has explained in his videos really resonates with me and I find a lot of comfort and clarity. While watching there have been a few moments my jaw dropped in realization. But I recently had the thought about evolution and the supposed ‘big bang’/creation of earth, humanity… everything- and comparing it to Genesis in the Bible and seeing conflicting evidence. I’ve seen discussion online about the Bible and other texts being purely spiritual interpretation and are not meant to be scientific and explain science, or to even be taken in a literal sense. But I’m curious what others think about evolution and the creation of ‘everything’ vs spirituality and faith, and how it correlates or does not? Or if it even matters/ is relevant in the grand scheme of practice. It makes me doubt things, I think my brain is trying to protect me from a false sense of comfort or hope.

Any input is greatly appreciated! (I’m not meaning to cause any arguments or make accusations on one thing being more real than the other 🤍)
