Lying is a form of corruption.
Corruption:
The action or effect of making someone or something morally depraved

The wrong or improper use of something (the tongue/mental space)

Distortion or corruption of the original course, meaning, or state of something
A crime, or unethical or criminal behavior
An act involving dishonesty or deception
