Why a Squat Stool Can Help
I love my Squatty Potty!
A squat stool can be one of the easiest upgrades to make.
Why it helps:
- it changes the angle of the hips
- it helps relax the puborectalis
- it makes the rectum less kinked
- it often reduces straining
That does not mean a stool is the whole answer. If your constipation also includes stress, shutdown, pelvic floor tension, or poor urge response, those still need attention too. But this is one of those low-effort changes that can make bathroom time less frustrating fast.
