Week 1, Design for Clarity: Before Monday
I want to name something that happened in the comments this week before we close it out.
One of you looked at a thing you had already built and realized it was the answer and then spent the week living it yourself.
One of you went from trying to figure out what a complete set would look like to a first basic set that you will revise as teachers tell you what they need.
One of you made a prototype, put it out there, and then watched your person find the courage to do the very same thing right after.
And one of you found what you actually sell sitting at the end of your own sentence.
Nobody got handed a framework this week.
You answered three questions and built something.
So here is the last one, and it is a short one.
💡What would it take to get your thing in front of your person before Monday?
Not finished. Not polished. Just in their hands, however rough it is right now.
Here is the thing about weekends.
What feels urgent on a Thursday feels optional by Sunday night, and then it is next week, and then somehow it is September.
Now, if your person is not somebody you can actually reach this week, that is alright.
Some of you are building for people you have not met yet.
💡So then it becomes, who is the closest person you could show it to?
💙A friend who teaches.
💙Somebody who was standing where your person is a year ago.
💙Anybody who will look at it and tell you something true.
So tell me in the comments.
💡What is the one thing standing between what you have made and somebody laying eyes on it?
Sometimes it is a real thing, and sometimes it is just one more little piece of ready that we are still waiting to feel.
