I've been doing that in my own house for months, and Mom calls it BEGGING. Double standards, people. Double standards. Anyway, I hope your day is full of treats, absolutely no tricks, and plenty of naps. And remember, if something scary jumps out at you, just do what I do. I just wanna say, I'm really happy with my progress for my business and personal pursuits. Yesterday, I launched my community - Builders Together🏫. Through this community, I want to help builders and business owners navigate the noise, hype and learn to listen to themselves - and in doing so, making decisions that align with what they want, not just for the sake of others' expectations or following the crowd. This is very personal to me because I've spent the formative years of my life inheriting others' expectations, till about 6 years ago when I hit rock bottom after realising that I didn't have a clue who I was - and which sparked my journey to rediscovering myself and helping others do the same. Furthermore, after having spent a year away from my home town, the reverse culture shock of returning to the same expectations, rules and beliefs (which are often more implicit or unspoken) never gets easier. I've been thinking about this lately. We spend so much time figuring out what our communities need, what we should try next, and what still isn't working. There's always something else to do, isn't there? I love what Todd and I are building with Skoolology. Especially the people we're getting to know, the friendships forming, and those little moments when someone realizes they're making progress. But I'll admit, sometimes I'm already thinking about the next thing on my list instead of enjoying what's happening right in front of me. I've been wondering... Most of us started building because we wanted something different. Maybe more freedom, meaningful work, new connections, or a little more control over how we spend our days. Are we remembering to enjoy some of that along the way? ☕ So here's my Friday morning question: What's something about your community or business that's making you smile right now? It doesn't have to be a big win. Sometimes the little things are the best part. Let's give those moments a little attention today. ❤️

Good morning, builders! ❤️☕ You know what I caught myself doing the other day? Sitting there trying to work something out in my head, going around in circles, getting a little frustrated, and still not asking for help. Todd was right there. LOL! I started thinking about how often I do that. Somewhere along the way, we get this idea that we should know what we're doing. That if we're leading something, building something, or helping others, we should have the answers. But why? Funny how we can give other people plenty of room to learn, make mistakes, and figure things out, but forget to give ourselves that same grace. Some of my best learning has happened when I finally admitted I didn't know. Sometimes the person who helped me see things differently simply asked a question I hadn't considered. Maybe we don't always need another answer. Maybe we just need to be willing to say, "I'm still figuring this out." What's something you're still learning to give yourself permission NOT to know? I'll bet we're not as alone in that as we sometimes think. ❤️
