For any HS or younger players (plus coaches), this is video from our college player workout yesterday. A very simple but difficult warm up. Notice how many little mistakes are made?
- Not dribbling shoulder height
- Ball not moving with the body
- Not dribbling hard enough
- Pivots not being brought back to a good base
- Losing the ball
We start with the "Strong 500" series then get on the move with a big emphasis on dribbling with force, moving fluidly and footwork.
If you're doing these drills with no mistakes, it is because you are not doing it at a high level. That is part of your growth. Middle school kids think they work hard until they meet an all state HS player. All state HS players think they work hard until they meet a college player (who actually plays). College players thing they work hard until they meet a professional player. Life is about leveling up. When you work out, work HARD!!
