Who Has a Front Desk Training System That Actually Works?
Hey everyone, happy weekend!
I'm onboarding a new front desk clerk this Monday and I'm in full prep mode building out SOPs and training modules inside Notion. This role has historically struggled at our company due to a lack of structured onboarding, so I want to get it right this time from day one.
I've already started mapping out things like office opening procedures, software responsibilities, phone scripts, and non-negotiables. Planning to layer in some Loom videos for the more hands-on tasks too.
My question for the group: does anyone have an existing SOP or training framework for a front desk clerk or office manager in a home improvement or contracting company? Even a rough checklist or bird's-eye view of the role would be helpful. I just want to make sure I'm not leaving any blind spots before Monday morning.
Would really appreciate anything you're willing to share. If you've already built something like this, I'd love to see how you structured it.
