Hexis
Just double checking, when joining Hexis we just sign up as an “athlete”?
Uses of electrolytes
As a very salty sweater, I tend to ensure I always have electrolytes when on the bike and after to try and replace what iv lost. Questions is should I be have electrolyte drinks through the day or would this be a waste and good old H2O is fine.
Protein
Just started using Hexis and it's got me on 160g of protein a day 😐. I'm used to about 90-120. Even when I was weight training (before I started cycling) 160g of protein was pretty hard going. Interested in thoughts and what others are seeing.
Hexis - In ride fuelling
Workout is showing in the fuel planner but no carb intake is being suggested during the ride. For all the other sessions it has been recommending carb intake during the ride. Any ideas what’s happening here.

Supplements and potions
I’ve been using Beet It nitrate shots and Xendurance lactic acid buffer tablets to help with cycling performance. I understand the marketing claims — improved endurance, reduced fatigue, better lactate processing, etc. — but I’m not sure how much of that is actually backed by solid research. Do these types of supplements genuinely improve performance, or are they mostly placebo/snake oil? And if they do work, are the effects noticeable only in elite athletes or for someone like me who’s still building fitness?
