Little win
At my 3rd attempt doing the 5x5 Vo2 blocks I finally managed to complete it. Surprisingly it didn’t feel as hard as the previous sessions, even tho on the previous session I had to cut short the durations. I’ll take it 💥💥. Frequent trips defo get in the way of sustained training but I actually felt much fresher today. 🫡

From what I’ve read the longer duration vo2 should be at the closer end of the vo2 spectrum. But the shorter duration work can be 120% or higher. They both vo2 but targeting different parts of the vo2 system. Long duration all bout durability at intensity. Short duration all bout building punch n repeat.
Ramadan
Morning everyone. I was just wondering if people can message me privately if they have Ramadan. I didn’t even realise that it was starting next week until it was brought up to me this morning. Endurance routes
I thought I’d post this question because I suspect others may be wondering the same thing. I’m planning outdoor routes for longer endurance rides, and one of my favourites is mostly Z1/Z2—but it has a ~4-minute section that bumps me into Z5 (see elevation profile). My question: does that short Z5 segment ruin the Z1/Z2 workout, or is it still essentially an endurance ride overall?

Tuesday Feb 10th Daily Accountability
Did you ride? I did threshold; 3x18min @ 94%. I also massively screwed up my breakfast afterwards! I forgot I added a double portion of Weetabix as a single serving in Hexis. Cue me being ravenously hungry come lunch short over 50g of carbs I should've refueled with! Audited my whole custom food library afterwards to avoid that in the future.
