Touring with the family
Spending another day touring one of my wife’s and my favorite places to visit. As our kids have gotten older and on their own we thought we’d love to take them to Newport RI to show them the historic mansions, waterfront and bar/food scene 😎 Classic but relaxed comfort is the dress for the day. OOTD: Brown long sleeve cotton shirt Medium blue denim jeans Anson buffalo belt with Pewter buckle Oatmeal OTC linen socks Blue/grey dress sneaker/shoes SOTD: Versace Dylan Blue WOTD: The ever trusty Omega Speedmaster Professional! Have an amazing Saturday everyone.

Introduce Yourself (ALL Intros HERE Please!)
OK, so by introducing yourself you are guaranteed to get to level 2 - it's really that easy and I LOVE learning more about the cool people in this group. Feel free to share where you're from, why you're here, what you do for a living, and what you like about style. Are you a watch guy, suit guy, fragrance guy, or maybe just getting started? Have fun here!

I love the classic fits...I mean, the slimmer tailoring today looks great on SOME people and hell, when I stand up, adjust and stand still it may even look good one me! However, when I walk the cuffs get caught up on the shoe and it never looks perfect! Personally? Give me the pleats, the cuffs...give me the full break with the cuff to the sole of the shoe! I also love finding deals...as I could never afford this hobby full retail. about 6 weeks ago I I found 4 suits at goodwill uncut, tags on em. Nothign fancy--department store brands but my bar for suits starts at "all wool" and these fit the bill. At $30 each, I was taking all 4 of em! In looking through the pockets, I found a quality control tag dated 1988...friggin thing's damn near 40 years old and I'm breakin' her in today! It's an Evan-Picone which evidently focused on ladies fashion, but did a little bit of mens too. After maybe $100 in tailoring I love it! The entire fit is thrifted/poshmarked/ebayed! The shirt is bev hill polo club, $3. Shoes are vintage florsheim imperial at maybe $50? I can't remember. $1 goodwill tie completes it. Details: Orient watch which, if you're not familiar with Orient watches, is easily the best deal goin. The thing punches far beyond it's weight class. fragrance is Tom Ford, Ombre Leather. Anson Belt. The Pocket silk was a gift and if you'd like to know more about where that came from, message me as I do not want to drop links here. My entire outfit might be $100...$225 after tailoring.

I may have just received my best compliments ever. Three people including one new fellow club member that I helped recruit didn’t recognize me. He said I just didn’t look right out of a well fitting suit. When I joined, the only event shirt that they had left was an XL long sleeve in bright yellow versus the sh sleeve navy most of the members wear when we are manning our concession stand. That and my ball cap threw three people off. Guess I’m doing something right 🤷🏻 ( but I do need to find a medium Rotary shirt for sure. ). By Tuesday when we stuff food for grade school kids who are food challenged on weekends, we will have completed 6 service projects this month.not bad for only 18 members (plus the 9 my night time companion club new folks we added in just this past year-my official/non official title is Membership Dude😎) The Route 66 car show is one of our biggest fundraisers. This is where we get a big chunk of our money to give 1000 local third graders dictionaries and send a half dozen HS juniors to leadership camp. There are a bunch of fantastic cars every year at this show. One of our members brought his mid 60s GTO convertible. Another brought a 1968 Plymouth Fury. I am proud to be a member of an organization whose motto is Service Above Self. Real men practicing Real Style is more than merely dressing well. Keep up the good fight PS. I amay or may not have been the guy who stuck the But Buy a raffle ticket sign on My buddy Rogers GTO😈
