Black is a fringe color. In many ways it’s akin to wearing a pale green suit- but in reverse. Perhaps There seems to be some confusion about its use as though it’s an essential conservative color in suiting. While that is true for tuxedos and a color to wear to a funeral, in virtually any other circumstance it’s the opposite of conservative. It’s a bold stand-out statement. Unless you are in an environment where a black suit for funerals is required it should be way down the list of essential purchases. The order (for suits) instead should be tiered as follows A. Charcoal Grey/ Navy/lighter grey B. Tans/browns/olives C Black/ burgundy’s etc In most cases a charcoal suit can supplant a black suit and since it is the most versatile color that exists, it has infinitely more uses than a black. Because of black’s stark boldness it should be thought of as a fringe bold color in either suiting or certain accessories. That all said-I can think of no other day in the year that represents more boldness than Good Friday. The 4*6 foot oil painting in my home office representing that very day has an interesting backstory but the short version is that it was painted by a cousin and it hung at the front of the church I attended with my grandparents throughout my entire childhood. A lot of people are quick to tell you their sad story. How unfair things are. How “unlucky” they’ve been. How “traumatic” their life was. How powerless they are to change anything. That’s why they lose. Because playing the victim might make you feel better for a moment… …but it never moves you forward. Winners don’t operate like that. They don’t look for handouts. They don’t wait for pity. They don’t ask for sympathy. They take what they have… …and they win with it. Remember this: Some people will have it easier than you. Some people will have it harder than you. Either way… It has nothing to do with what you’re capable of doing with your life. So what are you going to do? Keep wasting time complaining about how unlucky you are? Stay stuck in that story forever? Or take what you have… …and run with it? It’s your choice. The world doesn’t need more victims. Good morning gentlemen and ladies, A man see a lady struggling with carrying something and he instead of helping tries not to appears to have seen her in her current state. The woman; determined that that she has it, and she does not need any help from anyone much less a strange man. What is wrong with this picture? Why is that man not taking the responsibility and help that lady? Why is that lady thinking that she doesn’t need help from anyone much less a man who probably wants something in return? The gentleman was created and given the capacity and a responsibility that women does not have, and we have to be honest about it. A lady can say “he’s not a gentleman, he doesn’t know how to lead”, it means there’s still a capacity inside of him to be the gentleman that he was created to be. Here is an example; imagine it’s raining and you’re in New York City and if you’ve ever been to New York City or in France and it starts raining, people start selling umbrellas on the street. Now, those $5.00 and $10.00 dollar umbrellas; they’re not worth much, but they get the job done until you get home. Now Imagine you as a man, you might not be perfect or at that level of a gentleman; but you get the job done, we might think he’s nothing special but he gets the job done. No matter how little you view him, he’s made to handle the rain. Ladies were not made to handle the rain, but you were made to hold up that which can handle the rain. If a lady didn’t have that umbrella she would come back home smelling like what was poured on her. When a gentleman comes back in; as that umbrella, he gets dried quickly, water, repellent, it falls off of him. No matter how he is equipped; a regular man, or a gentleman, he was he still was built for the rain. The difference is some ladies want that Neiman Marcus umbrella. Some ladies want the wood handle, those things are heavy, and if lady wants a gentleman like that, then that lady has to be the lady that can hold up that gentleman because, an umbrella that is not used; it could be for the rain, for the sun, it shields, it provides shade; It allows what’s under it not to be touched.
