Let’s talk style foe paws (yes, I said it). What are your biggest pet peeves when it comes to clothing or fashion missteps?
I’ll start with two that drive me absolutely nuts:
1. Non-functional buttons – If my jacket has buttons, they better do something. Faux buttons on sleeves or pockets feel like a missed opportunity (or just lazy design).
2. Brand tags left on suit sleeves – That stitched-on white label? It’s meant to be removed. I can’t tell you how many young professionals I’ve interviewed wearing suits with that tag still on. It screams “off the rack and rushed. No clue.”
That said, we’ve all been there. My wife once threw away all my collar tabs, thinking they were garbage—so I get it. These things aren’t always taught, which is exactly why we should be helping each other (and the next generation) learn the little details that matter.
So what are your style pet peeves? Let’s hear ’em.
