Wet shaving
just thought I would share a few of the weapons I use for my shave routine included are some before and after pictures and the tools and products I use to get the finished results
I start by oiling my moustache and removing the wax before showering nice and hot
Then apply a pre shave gel like this one from Kent of Inglewood
While that’s softening the hair I whip up my shave cream I use Taylor of old Bond Street oud shaving cream in a hot scuttle I use this keeps the cream nice and warm
I use a badger hair brush to create the lather and then apply directly to the pre shave gel
I do my head first with a REX DE safety razor fitted with a few feather razor blade and get that all taken care of and.cleaned up before applying pre shave to my neck followed by shave soap and scrubbing to exfoliate with the brush before using a strait edge razor from boker to do two passes on my neck and detail my cheeks to keep my beard looking clean and sharp
Wash down with some warm water to remove the leftover cream and apply and cold alum block all over the shaved arias this helps stop and bleeding and is said to help prevent ingrown hairs. After it dries wash off with a cold wash cloth and moisturise with a good lotion
finish up by applying my favourite beard oil to replenish the oils in my face and beard
