TGIF everyone. A few contractor and distributor meetings today. Then get to enjoy the weekend.
We do have a very confusing yet approved business casual dress code at my company. We work in the field and with contractors and distributors daily. If you level up to Much you just look out of place. So we can pick and choose our style for the types of meetings.
More relaxed business casual for in field meetings, dark colored jeans, polos, button downs, boots, derby’s, or clean white tennis shoes, jackets of your choosing as long as it’s professional.
Corporate meetings we have a different dress code to follow: button down or dress shirts, slacks/Chinos, sport coats or blazer, and appropriate dress shoes.
For more formal meetings such as with Architects, awards dinners, and other large corporate events we are expected to wear a business suit or equivalent. Tie or no tie is always optional and personal preference.
So we do have some leeway and options for our daily attire. I lean more casual to business casual daily and stay one step above my clients and keep in line with our dress code standards. You will from time to time see pictures of me with a tie and a more formal look. My work wardrobe is quite unique and varies on formality.
