When I was in college a frat brother roommate invented this term (derivation of rubber necking). For over 40 years my wife and I have used it to mean the same thing. “Hanging together and cruising with a loose schedule”. I had to pick up the scout canoes for the church picnic so I invited her along. Close to the assistant scoutmasters house about 6 miles out of the city limits on Rt66 is The Nut House. It’s the retail store for a large pecan operation that has great lunches. A kitchen roadside place with lots of Rt 66 stuff and great nut gifts. Just a few miles from the blue Whale! Next time😎
