Panama hats in Panama?

I'm going to Panama tomorrow and wanted to pick up a Panama hat, obviously, nomen est omen. However, what I learned last time I went is that

most Panama hats, especially finer ones, are actually made in Ecuador,
in the Panama City, they're either extremely overpriced, not that fine (touristy crap with just a couple knots per inch), or (usually) both.

So: any tips on getting a decent, not super fine, not super expensive, more utilitarian Panama hat in Panama City both as a souvenir and a nice accessory to that perfect quarter canvas linen suit that I will surely find one day as well?

Particular stores with Google Maps links would be perfect. I hope it's not against the rules.
