Finally got to the end of the crazy intense timelines. Granted, now I can catch up on all of the issues pushed to side during this time. My son is home from college for four days starting tonight and we're taking holiday photos this weekend.
I flipped around a lot of the AI-app built outfit today to add in some pieces I wanted and then additional pieces that felt better suited to the outfit. As always please share your thoughts, positive and negative.
Friday wear-balancing note: The least-used visible pieces are SL-027 (trousers) with 3 tracked wears and NT-042 (tie), CL-020 (cufflinks), and FR-006 (fragrance) with 5 each. The workbook’s current strict bottom-35 list consists entirely of zero-wear items, so none of today’s selections technically falls within that group.
• Shirt — DS-047 (Charles Tyrwhitt): A crisp white, mid-weight cotton shirt with a subtle herringbone-twill texture, classic point collar, and adjustable French cuffs. Its high opacity and formal structure provide a clean foundation for the patterned tie; it takes 2.5-inch collar stays.
• Undershirt — US-009 (Pro Club): A heavyweight mid-blue cotton crew neck in size XL, cut with a roomy fit and near-elbow sleeves. It remains concealed beneath the opaque white shirt while reinforcing the outfit’s blue palette.
• Trousers — SL-027 (Michael Andrews Bespoke): Bespoke charcoal wool trousers with blue and gray patterning, made in the United States from 11-ounce Holland & Sherry basketweave. The excellent fit, matte finish, and two-inch cuffs give the outfit its tailored foundation while adding only the day’s fourth tracked wear.
• Vest — VWC-002 (Charles Tyrwhitt): An indigo-blue wool vest with a light-blue sharkskin pattern, five navy buttons, and full lining. Its texture distinguishes it from a plain navy vest and supplies upper-body structure without requiring a jacket.
• Tie — NT-042 (Silvio Fiorello): An Italian three-fold Duchesse-silk tie combining blue, navy, teal, and off-white geometric motifs with a restrained sheen. At only five prior tracked wears, it advances the Friday rotation goal while connecting the indigo vest to the blue-gray trousers.
• Suspenders — SB-001 (Kirby Allison): Sovereign Grade navy silk button suspenders with white polka dots, black calf-leather fittings, and silver hardware. The comfortable 1.5-inch Y-back construction remains concealed beneath the vest while providing a secure, belt-free line.
• Footwear — DSh-022 (Yearn Shoemaker): Custom oxblood museum-calf Balmoral boots from Yearn’s Artisanal Line, hand-welted on the almond-shaped Y02 last. Dark burnishing, a fiddleback waist, Triumph toe plates, and the deliberately brogue-free upper make them the outfit’s strongest craftsmanship statement.
• Socks — DSo-076 (Fort Belvedere): Italian compacted-cotton dress socks in gray with a subtle light-gray shadow stripe and forest-green upper band. Their ribbed knit and hand-linked toes provide a refined transition between the charcoal trousers and oxblood boots.
• Cufflinks — CL-020 (Unnamed): Square deep-blue glass cufflinks framed in brushed gold-tone metal. The blue centers echo the vest and tie, while their warm borders coordinate with the rose-gold watch case; they have only five tracked wears.
• Watch — W-009 (Mido): A Swiss automatic dress watch with a brown sunburst dial, polished rose-gold-tone case, and brown leather strap. Its warm palette complements the oxblood boots and gold-bordered cufflinks without competing with the blue tailoring.
• Ankle Watch — W-001 (Apple): The titanium Apple Watch 10 is worn on the ankle solely for health and activity-data collection. It is not a visible sartorial element and therefore does not affect the outfit’s visual harmony.
• Wedding Ring — R-001 (Ellie’s Jewelry): A platinum-and-diamond wedding band with a clean, understated appearance. Its neutral precious-metal finish sits comfortably alongside the outfit’s intentionally mixed warm and cool metals.
• Pen — P-001 (Montblanc): The Montblanc 146 LeGrand fountain pen combines glossy black precious resin, polished platinum trim, and a rhodium-detailed 14-karat gold nib. It provides a substantial, leadership-appropriate writing instrument for the day’s in-person and video-conference work.
• Business Card Carrier — BCC-001 (Fort Belvedere): A structured German aniline-leather case in black, with rippled padding, silver hardware, and a green goat-velour interior. Its two-sided clasp design provides a polished presentation while remaining compact enough for a coat pocket.
• Briefcase — CRY-003 (Montblanc): The black calfskin 4810 Westside double-gusset attaché features a structured silhouette, shiny gunmetal hardware, and space for a 16-inch computer. Its disciplined form and subtle iconic print reinforce the professional character of the ensemble.
• Wallet — WL-001 (Montblanc): A black Italian calfskin bifold from the original Extreme collection, finished with a carbon-fiber print and eight-card layout. Its discreet texture coordinates naturally with the black briefcase and card carrier.
• Fragrance — FR-006 (Roberto Ugolini): Blue Suede Shoes is a moderately strong amber fougère built around citrus, aromatic herbs, warm amber, woods, and soft sweetness. Its affinity for blue tailoring and brown leather makes it especially appropriate for this indigo-and-oxblood combination.
• Eyewear — EW-005 (Persol): Italian Persol sunglasses with polished Havana acetate frames, square green crystal lenses, and flexible Meflecto hinges. The tortoiseshell coloring adds a relaxed warm accent that complements the footwear and watch.
