A bit late, but yesterday was all about a big client meeting and took every moment. Indeed, I woke up at 3am to begin preparing. Bringing the team together for a crazy timeline project on a client's strategy for a major project - that's why I love what I do. It presents challenges from multiple angles. Ultimately, the client loved it. Although we have some follow up over the next few days, it will take place as I head to Lake Tahoe for the last summer holiday with the family.
• Suit — SJ-003, SL-012 (Peter Millar): An Italian-blue Peter Millar wool suit featuring a subtle tiny-dot texture, notched lapels, two rear vents, and multihued navy sleeve buttons. The excellent fit and restrained pattern create a polished matched-suit foundation that reads clearly and professionally on camera.
• Shirt — DS-045 (Charles Tyrwhitt): A pale-blue cotton-twill shirt with a navy-and-white Glen check, semi-spread collar, and square French cuffs. Its non-iron finish maintains a crisp appearance, while the pattern adds visual interest without competing with the suit.
• Undershirt — US-009 (Pro Club): A mid-blue cotton crew-neck undershirt with a comfortable fit. Its color coordinates with the shirt and suit while remaining concealed beneath the dress shirt.
• Tie — NT-070 (Holland & Sherry): A three-fold silk tie in vibrant orange with purple medallions, a low-sheen finish, and a traditional 3.5-inch blade. The warm orange provides a confident focal point against the Italian-blue suit, while the purple detailing bridges the cool and warm elements.
• Pocket Square — PS-040 (Fort Belvedere): A matte madder-silk pocket square featuring dark bronze, burgundy, and bottle-green diamond and paisley motifs. Its chalky hand, hand-rolled edges, and earthy palette complement the orange tie and brown accessories without creating an exact match.
• Belt — B-013 (Hanks): A khaki-brown Hanks belt made from textured suede leather with a traditional buckle closure. The suede introduces a relaxed tactile element and coordinates directly with the cognac loafers.
• Footwear — DSh-016 (R.M. Williams): Tan-cognac penny loafers made from burnished full-grain leather with rounded almond toes, full leather linings, and leather soles. Their streamlined slip-on profile and warm patina support the suit’s formality while remaining appropriate for a video-conference workday.
• Socks — DSo-072 (Il Regalo): Navy and medium-brown over-the-calf cotton socks with reversible blue-and-amber striping. The navy connects them to the suit, while the brown relates naturally to the suede belt and cognac loafers.
• Cufflinks — CL-008 (Charles Tyrwhitt): Cobalt-blue enamel cufflinks formed as flat glass-like discs with silver spokes and T-bar backs. Their saturated blue reinforces the suit and shirt palette, while the silver structure adds a crisp point of contrast at the French cuffs.
• Left-Wrist Watch — W-011 (Invicta): The 42mm Invicta Ocean Voyage is a gold-tone automatic diver with a turquoise sunburst dial, rotating bezel, and matching bracelet. Its warm metal supports the brown and orange elements, while the turquoise dial gives the outfit a distinctive summer accent.
• Ankle Watch — W-001 (Apple): A 46mm Apple Watch Series 10 in brushed slate titanium with an integrated titanium-and-rubber band. Worn at the ankle, it preserves fitness tracking without introducing a second visible watch into the tailored presentation.
• Pen — P-001 (Montblanc): The Montblanc 146 LeGrand is a high-gloss black precious-resin fountain pen with polished platinum trim and an extra-fine 14K gold nib. It provides a restrained leadership accessory that balances the outfit’s more expressive colors.
• Wedding Ring — R-001: A platinum wedding ring accented with diamonds. Its cool-toned metal coordinates naturally with the cufflinks and the Montblanc’s platinum trim.
• Business Card Case — BCC-005 (Frank Clegg): A simple bifold card case crafted from visibly grained bluestone goatskin. Its compact profile fits comfortably in nearly any suit pocket, and its blue tone remains consistent with the outfit’s primary palette.
• Wallet — WL-002 (Fort Belvedere): A smooth full-grain bullhide bifold in antique mahogany and petrol blue, finished with a forest-green moiré lining. The mahogany exterior harmonizes with the belt and shoes, while the petrol-blue detailing echoes the suit.
• Fragrance — FR-006 (Roberto Ugolini): A versatile composition of citrus, aromatic herbs, warm amber, woods, and gentle sweetness. Its balance of freshness and warmth suits the blue tailoring and suede accessories without overwhelming a professional setting.
