Feeling the blues today... in my outfit. My guess is that the camera won't accurately capture the differences between the pattern and share of blues in the vest and slacks, but they are sufficiently different to let me feel comfortable wearing them together. Today in the office is a continuation of (A) getting the website ready for launch by the end of the week, (B) working on our largest proposal ever and how we do so as a team, and (C) putting the final touches on the investor plan which I will begin socializing with investors as early as next week. Lots of great work training for the staff, especially in the ever-important area of training scientists on business development processes.

• Dress Shirt — DS-032 (Charles Tyrwhitt): Ocean blue Prince of Wales check with yellow and dark blue accents in a classic cotton cut. Point collar with 5" spread, French cuffs with adjustable barrel option. The Prince of Wales pattern adds sophisticated texture while keeping the overall look business-appropriate for video conferences. Perfect for showcasing cufflinks on camera.

• Undershirt — US-011 (Ralph Lauren Polo): Navy cotton crew neck in XL. The dark navy provides perfect concealment under the lighter ocean blue dress shirt—no show-through risk.

• Slacks — SL-005 (Santorelli): Italian blue textured wool with regular cuffs. Belt loops with classic break. The subtle blue texture complements the blue tones throughout the outfit without competing with the Prince of Wales check.

• Vest — VWC-002 (Charles Tyrwhitt): Indigo blue sharkskin pattern wool with light blue undertones. Five navy buttons with gray silver rear buckle. Fits slightly snug in the chest but delivers excellent structure on video. The sharkskin weave adds visual depth that reads beautifully on camera.

• Necktie — NT-023 (Fort Belvedere): Navy wool challis with white polka dots, 3-fold construction with self-tipping and keeper loop. The 3.5" width at 57" length sits modern but not trendy. Wool challis creates beautiful texture and depth that silk can't match—perfect for adding dimension to a blue monochrome look.

• Belt — B-007 (Milorde): Navy leather with silver buckle in single collar style. Classic dress belt that maintains the blue theme while the silver buckle coordinates with the watch and tie.

• Footwear — DSh-020 (Salvatore Ferragamo): Navy penny loafers with split toe, Goodyear welted in Italy. 2E width in 10.5 provides comfort for the office day. The navy upper with black secondary tones works perfectly with the blue outfit theme. Slip-on convenience for in-and-out office meetings.

• Dress Socks — DSo-086 (Fort Belvedere): Over-the-calf lightweight Italian cotton in navy with blue shadow stripes. Hand-linked toe seams for all-day comfort. The shadow stripe pattern at a subtle scale (2/5) adds visual interest between trouser cuff and shoe without drawing undue attention. Purchased during the Father's Day 2026 sale.

• Cufflinks — CL-014 (Unnamed): Spinning globe design with navy, silver, gold accents and green/white continental details. T-bar mechanism for easy insertion. The globes add personality and a conversation starter—sophisticated enough for video conferences while showing a bit of character.

• Business Card Carrier — BCC-005 (Frank Clegg): Bluestone goatskin bifold card case, handcrafted in the USA. The blue-gray tone provides a subtle leather accent that ties into the overall blue palette without matching too literally.

• Fragrance — FR-018 (Chanel): Bleu de Chanel Parfum. Opens with lemon zest, bergamot, and mint over lavender. Heart of geranium and green notes. Base of New Caledonian sandalwood, cedar, and tonka bean. Beast-mode longevity (8-12 hours) with commanding projection. The most potent concentration of Bleu—perfect for a day with P3 internal meetings where I want to project authority and polish.
