How's this experiment?

Today, experimented with this look: a white polo + ivory chinos + brown belt in upper half. The experiment is with a maroon over-shirt, which I deliberately wore unbuttoned. The material of the over-shirt is light weight corduroy from Levis (slim). Somehow, the over-shirt gives the impression of a cardigan (which is kind of cool I think). Does this outfit pass as a really decent casual outfit? I only visit the office once a week, so the rest of the days I am running errands or shopping essentials with my wife. This means, I am so much into polished casual outfits now than ever.
