Master Your Rhythm week 1
I’ve just watched/worked through week 1 of Master Your Rhythm and am buzzing! The clapping and vocalising really internalise the rhythm, I really needed a solid foundation and applying this to everything I hear/play sure is going to wake up and release my inner groove!
Jan 12 workout impressions
Good workout today. I enjoyed singing and clapping 8th and 16th notes. Singing them I find it natural to emphasize the pulse for both. When focusing on not emphasizing the pulse, I found it is easier to CLAP the 16th notes evenly without emphasizing the pulse by really listening to the clap. Singing them evenly without emphasizing the pulse is more challenging because of having to take a breath. Feeling all different levels at the same time in the body is a “feat”and a treat.

📝 Practice Makes Progress
Practice makes progress - not perfection. In Part 5 of Your Rhythm Journey, we covered: - Why 5 minutes focused beats 1 hour noodling - How to work WITH the metronome, not TO it - Deconstructing material and building awareness - Daily practice over weekend binges Now let's hear from you. Share below: 1. What was your biggest takeaway from the lesson? 2. How much time do you put aside for practice each day/week? 3. What will you focus on next? Share your commitment. Support someone else's. We grow together. —Dave
