Scaling vs. Growth
Yesterday and today, Dr. Ben Hardy sent an email with a link to a 40-minute video explaining Scaling.com. Most of us here are familiar with Dr. Ben's concept on Scaling. Each time he has a new post, it seems he is finding more clarity on what Scaling means. Each time I watch his new posts, I seem to gain a better understanding of how I've been operating and how I want to operate. I came to another realization after watching this video post. Most things I do in life, personally and professionally, I like having options. I feel if I get too specific, I'll be trapped. In reality, options create noise/clutter. Specificity creates clarity. It seems counterintuitive to me. I operate thinking the more options I have, the opportunities will come my way. However, this is like being a jack of all trades and master of none. If I get specific, I get clarity. I will be a master/expert of my subject. I eliminate competition not by competing with others. I create my own space so there is no one else my space. Focusing on a niche creates clarity. This line of thinking will provide me with 10 X growth and more. As I continue to refine my thinking on this concept, I feel I'm getting closer to a breakthrough.
