We have heard it a lot from Russel and other top coaches, mindset is a critical success factor for entrepreneurs in good in bad times. When times are good, to set stretch objectives, when times are bad, not to give up and to learn from what is happening.
In the last days and weeks, I heard so many stories of people close to bankruptcy and finding the way to get on that life changing training or to invest in themselves /in their business, taking massive action and getting a life changing breakthrough.
Growth mindset is getting better every day and comparing yourself to you yesterday or one year ago, and not to other people. It is also learning from failure, embracing experimenting and learning new things. And taking 100% responsibility for your results through your actions.
For example when I missed an exam years ago, I was very sad for one day and then started to analyze what happened and define a plan to repeat it and pass it. In business when projects are not giving the expected results, you need to drill down to find the why and define/refine the approach forward. By tweaking some things, you can often change the project towards success.
I really am a fan of the growth mindset and do all I can to have it most of the times. With a growth mindset everything is possible, learning and experimenting are at the center of the journey, failure is embraced as part of it, the journey is enjoyed, effort and consistency are valued, and resilience increased.
What is your experience? How do you check in on your mindset?
