Shoutout to Louis, in the middle, between me and my cofounder Tim, whom I met via this Skool community. He drove all the way down from NJ to vend our at very first show back in November. Even though our tables sell out instantly, we always save him a spot, and he’s been at every show since. This show was insane. Videos to come. We had lines hundreds deep and 90 minutes long at the peak. Just shy of 2k attendees passing through a local hotel ballroom. We gave away over 350 packs out of pocket that day to kids, attendees, & people waiting in line. I don’t have a deep message to end with. Just that we’re super grateful. When you work as hard as you can and focus on serving your community, good things can happen.

Picked up 22 Bundles at $70/each - My thesis (1-2 year hold)
Prismatic will be a fan favorite for years to come. I knew this, but I didn’t realize just HOW good it is compared to every other set. Just look at all these cards worth > $50: Most sets only have a handful of cards over $50. Prismatic has 16. The depth of hits is legendary. Out of all the ways to buy Prismatic Evolutions, Booster Bundles provide the best value at current market prices. Elite Trainer Boxes have dipped from $200 to $170 after a recent restock, but that isn’t far enough for me to favor those instead. I am a buyer of more ETBs below $150 should that happen but I just don’t see it.

Some thoughts Vending
Setting up at a card show always sounds simple… until you’re actually doing it. You tell yourself, “I’ll get there early, set up in an hour, be chilling before doors open.” Then suddenly it’s tables, displays, pricing, reorganizing, fixing your case for the third time—and somehow you’re still not ready when people start walking in. And the truth is… you usually don’t make as much as you thought you would either. Not every show is a home run. Not every card sells. Not every deal goes your way. But honestly, that’s not really why you do it. There’s something about setting up your own little shop… laying out your cards… seeing people stop, look, pick things up. Talking to hundreds of other Pokémon fans who get it. The kids, the collectors, the random conversations that turn into deals—or just good moments. It’s chaotic, it’s unpredictable, it’s a grind…but it’s also one of the most fun parts of the hobby. If you’ve vended before, what has your experience been like?
