@Alan Tun my thinking is when will I have the chance to get a sealed case for $670 of anything in the Pokemon market. But I agree booster box case would be the better option overall.
Fatigue SETTING IN
Not sure if it’s just me but I’m seeing a sense of fatigue in Pokemon as we are getting flooded with new sets. When I re-entered in 2024 the landscape was much easier to navigate. SV sets were readily available, secondary market was at most 20-30% over MSRP for SV sealed products. Now you can’t get any newer ETB for less than $100 . We are so used to inflation-deflation-inflation now it’s just inflation. Target and Walmart raised prices about 10%, GameStop is basically a secondary market place. Buyers’ dollar isn’t going as far as it used to and I do think we are at the boiling point. Just like the sneaker crash a few years ago, I see similarities. How are you guys feeling and what are your thoughts?
DESTINED RIVALS BOOSTER BUNDLES
With the rise of all these sets the growth of Destined has been on the quiet. These bundles have dropped below $70 and if you are looking for a high valued move, this is one of the top choices. The regular ETBs quietly at $200+. So yeah do the math šŸ’Ž
Perfect Order
Oh this set is a game changer in a different way. This new release has really settle some of my uneasy feelings about the Pokemon market temporarily. Normal behavior is back. This set seems to be unpopular in the community and the numbers reflect it. Preorders as normal were high but not as high as previous sets. As soon as it released market flooded and sellers soon realized this product is not moving like everything else. In result prices have dropped. And the trend line is pointing to further loses. I’m not necessarily happy that the product is doing bad. Im happy that even in this bull market when a product is not up to par the prices are reflecting that. I expect this to keep dropping and settle around <50% over MSRP. How do you guys feel about this?

Dilemma…
So a staple card of mine has just hit its all time high with a sale recently (as shown). I’ve been a Rayquaza collector since coming back to the hobby but when certain graded cards in your arsenal hit numbers like these, it’s hard to ignore the sales. The question is: A) Keep the card you love and see if the sales increase even further in the next 1-3 months? OR B) Capitalise on the fact you are now in a Ā£2K profit from your original purchase and invest in sealed that you wouldn’t necessarily have the capital for right now? The floor is yours gang šŸ¤”

The card is old enough to be a high school student. The profit has been realized and it’s time to move forward. Easier to say when it’s not my card of course
