I’ve cut down on the number of sessions I’m doing to suit my health and work better. This has let me get more out of my main session and have time for shorter training sessions to work on other skills too.
My main session this week focused on attempting a level 4 climb up with overgrip and better technique has been helping me develop and running quickly at things. I think I’ve managed to achieve the level 4 climb up, it’s definitely a lot easier compared to when I’ve been doing it before. I’ve also found that I can run at things quickly and jump a lot farther than I thought I could. At the start of this programme my running jump was about 12ft with 3ish steps in. I gave myself a 12m run up to a tyre pod with an 8ft gap between it and the crash mat. I nearly cleared the mat on my first couple of attempts. By the end of the session I was clearing 13ft and landing near the middle of the mat.
I also wanted to share a couple of different skills I’ve been working on these couple weeks too. Acro and tricking skills aren’t really my thing so any feedback is appreciated!
