1 Hit List Move ✅😭, 1 More to Go
A move I was aiming to hit within 2-3 months — dive longing over a 7’2” table. Took a lot of building up to it, but I finally committed and cleared it! The hardest battle was the psychological battle tbh. After dedicated practice, I knew I could physically hit it, but hey, well worth the wait. Would love to see how others’ hit list is going! Showreel - Level 1 - Nate Morrell
Reflecting from when you started how does it feel to have levelled up? I have really enjoyed learning the skills of Parkour. It has been good fun and a challenge. I am really excited about going to the next level to learn new skills. I’m really excited to start learning backflips. During the hardest part of your training what challenges hit you the hardest and how did you push through? When I learn a new trick I try to build up to it by breaking it down into basic movements, once I get the hang of it I try to make it harder like by learning straddle vault then doing it one handed. Doing the rail balance was the hardest part of training but I pushed through by practicing, asking for advice from my coaches and trying to balance for a couple of seconds longer each time. My goal is to learn new skills so I made sure I set my mind on levelling up and that helped me push through. Imagine you are a coach. Give advice for all those starting parkour for the first time. What would be one wisdom you will share with them? Keep your mind on it and focus on what’s happening and try your best to do it listen to your coach and remember your goals.

I watched random videos, tried random movements, and got frustrated. I kept making the same mistakes and didn't understand why. Everything changed when I started filming myself, posting online, and asking for feedback. I didn't lack effort. I lacked vision. Athletes with more experience could see what I couldn't. Flow #2: Fluid, Floaty, and Bouncy (Under Construction 🚧 )
This was a fun flow to create — tried to find ways to be more like water, less sticky on the floor, and floaty. It’s not exactly the way I want it and I plan to perfect it some more, but intentionally creating flows is so much fun!

My Favorite Parkour Line Thus Far
This is a line I feel deeply proud of — especially the very last move b/c it's something I've been drilling on my own, so I can add my own pizzazz to parkour. One day during practice, my coach and I played a game called “Add-on” — where one athlete does a single move, the next athlete copies it and adds another single move to it. Rinse and repeat. Instead of knocking each other out, we decided to make it creative. We work together to add-on moves and create our own line. This took some time to build. There were moves we tried but didn’t work. Some we thought looked great, but could make it better. In the end, when we found our final piece to create the full line, we pushed ourselves to execute it faster and more powerful than we typically do. After he caught in on film — which was like my 4th attempt at it — I felt overwhelmingly proud. I thought “Damn, we did that! And I pushed myself past my limit.” I felt like this was my commemoration as a full-fledged parkour athlete. I’m pretty damn excited to create the next flow line 🌊
