“Skip the scanbacks and drop the package.” 👀
Most notaries would never expect to read that in signing instructions... but that’s exactly why reading them matters.
In this file, the title company requested scanbacks and same-day shipping. However, they specifically stated:
If completing the scanbacks would delay the package, skip the scans and prioritize dropping the originals.
Would that apply to every signing?
❌ Absolutely not.
Many companies require scanbacks before shipping. Others prioritize funding deadlines or document delivery. Every client is different.
Sometimes one small paragraph can completely change how you're expected to handle the file.
