We all ended up here for a reason… 👀
Some people became notaries to make extra income Others wanted freedom, flexibility, or a fresh start And for some… it completely changed their life. So now we’re curious: 👉 What made YOU decide to become a notary? Was there a specific moment, person, or goal that pushed you into this industry?
7:00 AM signing… and the notary caught something important
There were 2 borrowers on the file Most documents required both signatures But the notary noticed that the Owner/Seller Affidavit only had: • One borrower’s name • One signature line Instead of ignoring it, the notary messaged us before the signing. Since it was so early in the morning, title wasn’t available yet, so we made a judgment call: 👉 Print the document twice 👉 Execute one as-is 👉 Add a signature line on the second copy for the other borrower Later, when title responded, the signing was already completed… And they were VERY happy the notary caught it and went the extra mile! This is the kind of attention to detail that makes title companies trust notaries more and more. Not just signing documents blindly, but actually paying attention 👏

Hi everyone. Can anyone recommend where I can obtain a de-identified sample loan packet for practice purposes?
Direct Signing Update with Law Firm
I had the scheduled signing for today, but the time still needed to be defined. Yesterday, I received an email sent to the client on behalf of the lawyers, with a copy for me, informing that they were trying to coordinate the appointment and that, up to that point, the client had not responded. They also indicated that they would keep me informed of any updates. I know this type of situation usually happens, but since it was a direct signing with a law firm, it caught my attention and I wanted to share the experience to hear your opinions.
Hello! It's great to be included and involved in this community!
I'm Divina from the Dallas-Fort Worth Texas location. This is my 3rd year as a notary since last November and I really enjoy it. I also like the fact, that even though I'm comfortable with my assignments, it's great to run into new documents to learn. This journey has definitely been one that I didn't expect to fit me so well after running my own small business in the beauty field! Either way, I love to serve people and make sure I execute the best results for everyone involved. I look forward to seeing everyone's posts.
