What's one habit that made you a better signing agent?
It doesn't have to be something big. Maybe you started: ✅ Reviewing the package before leaving home. ✅ Confirming IDs during your reminder call. ✅ Double-checking every notarization before leaving the table. ✅ Leaving extra time between appointments. ✅ Reading the instructions before printing. Sometimes the smallest habits make the biggest difference in reducing mistakes and creating a smoother signing experience. 💬 What's one habit you've developed that has improved your signings? Share it below, you might help another notary improve theirs too.

I add important notes on my folder for each signing and I verify each page before leaving the table. I always start with this will take approximately this amount of time and to make sure this is all correct it will take me extra time that way this is done the right way the first time. ☺️ it has work on in person signing.

@Melissa Dominguez this is the top 1 of it all! ❤️
Thought I share for anyone that didn’t know
Quick tip for fellow notaries: don’t just keep backup toner for your printer, keep a backup drum too. I learned this the hard way while printing 400+ pages for a signing. New toner, paper loaded, everything ready… then my Brother printer stopped because the DR-830 drum had reached the end of its life. A $100-ish part can hold up a $100+ signing. Hopefully this saves someone else from a late-night surprise. Hope you all have a great day! ❤️

@Nakia Woodson right! Well I always have extra toner but i genuinely didn’t know you had to change the drum 😳.
A confidentiality gut check for the community.
Be honest there is a version of this we’ve all been close to. You finish an unusual signing and the story is right there, ready to tell. Two questions: What is your personal rule for talking about your work? Have you ever caught yourself about to share a detail you shouldn’t? What stopped you?

Integrity and past experience! Since I am just starting I don’t want to be knowing by the notary that tells my business and I wouldn’t like to have anyone coming into my house and talk bad when they leave claiming they are professional. So I always treated like HIPA ( medical law) lol see but don’t tell cause it will come back to hunt you.

@Melina Fuenmayor agree!
📚 Let's learn from each other...
What was the biggest lesson you learned last month as a notary or signing agent? Maybe it was: • A lesson about communication • Something you caught in a loan package • A shipping or scanback challenge • A borrower interaction • Or a mistake that taught you something valuable Sometimes the lessons that help us grow the most come from real experiences in the field. Share your biggest takeaway!

I learned so much last month is hard to choose which one to talk about 😂. I learned the difference between mobile loan signing agent and RON. I thought it would be the same experience but RON has more to offer and more challenges. Still amazing! 🤩

@Melina Fuenmayor thank you! 😊
We all ended up here for a reason… 👀
Some people became notaries to make extra income Others wanted freedom, flexibility, or a fresh start And for some… it completely changed their life. So now we’re curious: 👉 What made YOU decide to become a notary? Was there a specific moment, person, or goal that pushed you into this industry?

Hi everyone! I became a notary because I wanted more freedom, growth, and a better future for my family. After years of working hard for others, I realized I wanted to build something of my own where my skills, dedication, and effort truly mattered. Becoming a Notary and Signing Agent has given me purpose, flexibility, and the opportunity to help people every day, and that’s what keeps pushing me forward.
