Bad News
Hey all!
This is a question I’ve been working on recently and I want to stir a good conversation: What’s the best and most merciful way to give bad news?
By extension, what is bad news? Does the nature of delivery change based on circumstances? Should bad news ever be withheld? Are there circumstances in which it must be given? How can it be done most mercifully? Does that change based on the giver or receiver of the news? Is timing important? Is timing more important than immediacy? Is one more wrong or right than the other?
Genuinely don’t know and excited to see what anyone comes up with! I hope this is a question worthy of your time.
