Is pushing past mental barriers a common part of the work?
Lately I notice I I have this thing where there's a "core personality trait" that I'm holding onto, out of fear, feeling like it really is important, and also a huge opening that starts to come, even if only briefly, when I abandon it, even just temporarily. I feel like I'm "stuck between a rock and a hard place" between holding onto this trait because of what I feel it "does for me," even if it really just seems to be comparing myself to other things and suffering, and the opening and depth of experiential prodding, "seeing what's out there" when I drop it. Could that be considered a mental "barrier?" That "resistance" to change, the impulse to maintain the familiar, or the general lack of openness? And, would you say this is a common aspect of the work, pushing past these barriers, wanting to know what is "beyond" the current level of understanding? I just wanna know

In the outside life to me it seems most of the problems are just you not being practiced in dealing with a situation or more often just 'pesonal blockages' of sort are one of the main things that mislead you into not becoming good at stuff. In simpler language because you are afraid of doing X thing an area of your life will struggle and so until you remove the fear and do the thing you won't get what you need from that area.
Why not get it now?
For a few days I've been feeling like I'm rushing this one design project because I was feeling it was stopping me from doing more important work. Also I was feeling it was hard to prioritise what to contemplate or work on. And every day I would see new distinctions or principles that I wanted to work on. But they were just too much. And today I was watching this guy explaining some frame control principle and he said " Just get it now because soon I won't be teaching this" And it just hit me rushing = postponing. And a question arised "why just not get it all now" And I got some of it. I noticed before I assumed I need a proccess or a way to get things. (For a few weeks also I have been playing with the idea of directness how to do something in 0 steps) Now weirdly I see how you can "get to experience" something before you even understand what it is and learn It later. Also there is the idea of time. Anything to be experienced can only be now getting it can only be now. So just need to get it now. You can never get something as a result of a process as the process itself is only a pointer. And I'm not talking about getting it in 1 step. I'm talking about getting it in no steps. And the experience is itself direct it has no steps or concepts. What is your experience of such matters? P.S. I didn't get anything in particular, but also it wasn't nothing. So really I don't know if I got anything at all.
Bad News
Hey all! This is a question I’ve been working on recently and I want to stir a good conversation: What’s the best and most merciful way to give bad news? By extension, what is bad news? Does the nature of delivery change based on circumstances? Should bad news ever be withheld? Are there circumstances in which it must be given? How can it be done most mercifully? Does that change based on the giver or receiver of the news? Is timing important? Is timing more important than immediacy? Is one more wrong or right than the other? Genuinely don’t know and excited to see what anyone comes up with! I hope this is a question worthy of your time. - Chris

I don't know if this is 'the best way' per se. I watched this movie Moneyball - a guy is a baseball manager and has to teach his junior how to fire people. The junior is kinda scared doesnt want to hurt the players that he is having to let go. The manager tells them - just be straight with them treat them like the proffesionals they are. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fTjhHrcyiQI If it is about personal things like death in the family, his spouse cheating on him etc. Its basically the same process - I have been at the recieving end of those and the only thing i really didnt want to see from the people talking about such situations is : overly dramatical dishonest behaviour or avoidance. I've myself have been recently facing situations where I need to tell people where for example their behaivour is not helping them progress in something and it took some contemplation to get rid of the initial blockage of doing and now I can basically do it.(with the caveat that some people that I really respect and see as serious its kinda hard for me to be completly honest with them about those things because I fear they might react badly or their ego might get hurt - but this is a personal thing for me that I will work through} I just tell them for example - in this situation you are trying to be perfect because you are afraid or trying to keep part of your identity . - This is not needed and wont help you instead just do (x helpful action). Now with death/end of relationship those are kinda 'final' and you just tell people the thing they need to do next for example - so and so died. he mentioned you last month he said he loves/hates you. The funeral is on X date - we would be glad to see you there. The key part is if you treat people as if they can't deal with the situation or they are going to be hurt by it etc. - this can lead them to do that behaviour. If you treat them like they can deal with it - they usually do very often because of your trust in them.

I am Preparing the Next Master Class on Limiting Beliefs and Need Your Help
The people have spoken! You want to see a video on Limiting Beliefs. I want to hear back from you because I have started working on this next masterclass and your input will help. If it's really good I will address it in the video. In terms of working with limiting beliefs: What have you tried already? What were the results and how did it work? What do you envision you need this course for? Please answer in the comments! Best, Brendan

What have you tried already? Pretty much everything under the sun. Mainly meditation, letting go (accepting the feeling and staying with it until its gone),Jungian type of explorations and enacting stories (stopped doing this when I moved on to contemplating as it's way more direct I am able to take care of things much faster with contemplation) And contemplating the source which proves to work best. What works for me personally is stopping generation of the tought and also looking at the feeling that accompanies the matter going under the resistance finding the distinction and removing that too. Main struggle seems to be connected to finding the limiting beliefs in first place. Once I see it and grasp it I can 'delete it' Also with some of them there seems to be a lot of emotional charge that keeps the thing coming back and seems to be difficult to disassemble usually connected to what you said in the other post where some kind of agenda 'for me' appears. Most of the limiting beliefs for me seem to be essentially me not allowing the possibility of some action or circumstance happening for me. Or it feels like a wall when trying to do some action. Very rarely I hear them spelled out as a thought. What do I envision I need the course for: - Helping me identify hidden limiting assumptions - A more direct way of dealing with heavily emotionally charged beliefs.
