I was in a session with a famous author name Leonard Sweet when he said something I will never forget. He said we have so many books and classes on leadership, but no one is producing material on Followship. Maybe if we had more content on flowship we’d have better leaders. I submit that growing in leadership starts with knowing how to be a great follower. Thanks for this group because I’m excited about following your trainings. How do you all feel About following and leading and the correlation?

My First Toastmasters Conference
I spent 8 days working behind the scenes Helping with coordinating Transportation Room set up Registration Getting conference gift bags ready And so much more This was my first Toastmasters conference and even though I was working… I made some time to engage in one or two 2️⃣ f the sessions that were taking place. The sessions were packed with much valuable information and I am so glad I made the sacrifice and invested to attend. One because it was the final conference for District 81 and it was worth it. The networking The learning… from both working as a volunteer on the logistics committee and from the education sessions that I was able to catch. On Saturday night was the big night.. the banquet coupled with the awards ceremony and an energizing keynote charging us to be BOLD. Sunday saw the conference wrapping up with a church service, followed by tours of Kingston, Dunn’s River Falls and Mystic Mountain. I am looking forward to the new District and the conference for 2026/2027 Toastmasters year.

Your Action This Week
Last week we had a great time at the Women's History Month session. And as my coach @Dwight Riddick always say...never leave the lessons there share them so others can benefit. Some of the comments that came out of that session were: "Great food for the mind and heart" "Thanks, I needed this" "I am so glad I joined and stayed the entire session; my cup was filled." "Time to level up, put self first sometimes." So today I want us to pause and have a real moment...You know, not the “I’ve got it all together” version. But one that sits right in our chest, real and honest. Where in your life or leadership are you feeling stretched right now? Is it: - Knowing what you need to do… but struggling to follow through? - Carrying a lot, but feeling like no one really sees it? - Playing small in rooms you know you were meant to show up boldly in? - Pouring into others… but running low yourself? I don't think that most of us are stuck because we don’t have the ability. I think we’re stuck because of what’s happening internally—our mindset, our confidence, and how we see ourselves in this season. And whether you’re leading a team, a business, a family, or just trying to lead yourself better… It all starts there. Let’s reflect together and answer what feels relevant to you: 👉 Where do you feel stretched or stuck right now? 👉 What’s one pattern or behavior you’ve noticed in yourself that you know needs to shift? 👉 If nothing changes in the next 3–6 months, what does that cost you? (peace, growth, opportunities?) 👉 What kind of support would actually help you move forward? 🔥 Your Action This Week Drop ONE thing in the comments that you’re currently working through or becoming more aware of. No pressure. No perfect answers. Just honesty. Remember this is our space to grow together.
