I spent 8 days working behind the scenes
Helping with coordinating
Transportation
Room set up
Registration
Getting conference gift bags ready
And so much more
This was my first Toastmasters conference and even though I was working…
I made some time to engage in one or two 2️⃣ f the sessions that were taking place.
The sessions were packed with much valuable information and I am so glad I made the sacrifice and invested to attend.
One because it was the final conference for District 81 and it was worth it.
The networking
The learning… from both working as a volunteer on the logistics committee and from the education sessions that I was able to catch.
On Saturday night was the big night.. the banquet coupled with the awards ceremony and an energizing keynote charging us to be BOLD.
Sunday saw the conference wrapping up with a church service, followed by tours of Kingston, Dunn’s River Falls and Mystic Mountain.
I am looking forward to the new District and the conference for 2026/2027 Toastmasters year.
