Alsalaam aleyikum sisters. I have been preplexed about this issue. If a woman earns more than her husband and expects him to still be the sole provider for the family of course she cannot put pressure on him. However, if she decides to contribute in areas she knows he cannot fulfil, how does that affect her husband? I know some men do not fare well with this. How do you figure this out before you arry him? Also how do you figure out if he is someone who would want to marry you because you do have an income and he has an internal thought of wanting you to contribute as well. Someone may say that he is willing to provide but that does not remain the case later on.
